The Scientific Publishing Department of RSUTS values collaboration with every author who submits their materials for publication. The Department offers authors services for refining and formatting materials for study guides, textbooks, monographs, and other publications. To ensure the production of a high‑quality scientific edition, we invite you to take advantage of the following additional services, the cost of which is determined individually.

1. Manuscript Evaluation 

• Initial assessment: evaluation of the manuscript’s readiness and determination of its publication status. 
• External peer review: review by external experts (doctoral‑level or PhD‑level specialists in the relevant field) – a paid service. 
• Internal plagiarism check: verification of the text for improper borrowing and use of AI‑generated content. 
• DOI assignment: registration of a Digital Object Identifier for each book. 
• Obtaining classification codes: assignment of UDC, LBC, and author’s mark indices.

2. Editorial Text Preparation 

• Literary editing: correction of stylistic, grammatical, and syntactical errors. 
• Scientific editing: verification of terminology, factual accuracy, consistency of formulas, and compliance with academic style (often requires involvement of specialized experts). 
• Proofreading: review of the text after corrections, elimination of typographical errors, control of widows/orphans, spacing, and proper quotation marks. 
• Handling of illustrative materials: digitization, color correction, and formatting of figures, photographs, and diagrams to a uniform standard.

3. Computer Typesetting and Design 

• Book layout creation: preparation of the final layout of the future publication. 
• Cover design: development of an original cover design (1–2 options) in accordance with the requirements for educational literature. 
• Publication layout: typesetting of the internal block (text, tables, formulas, illustrations) in compliance with GOST standards. 
• Complex typesetting: for publications containing complex tables, extensive formulas (LaTeX), musical scores, or color illustrations that extend into the margins.

4. Compilation of the Scholarly Apparatus

• Preparation of auxiliary indexes required for scientific and educational publications. 
• Compilation of the bibliography: formatting references in accordance with GOST standards. 
• Preparation of auxiliary indexes: alphabetical index, name index, subject index (if required). 
• Table of contents: creation of a detailed table of contents with hyperlinks (for electronic versions).

5. Printing Services (Circulation) 

• Prepress preparation (imposition): production of printing plates, color proofing. 
• Printing of the circulation: costs for paper, ink, and press work are calculated separately (price per copy is indicated depending on volume and print run). 
• Packaging: shrink-wrapping.

6. Ensuring Official Status of the Publication 

• ISBN assignment: payment for registration of the International Standard Book Number with the Russian Book Chamber. 
• Delivery of mandatory copies (if a printed circulation is ordered): payment for delivery and registration of copies with the Russian Book Chamber. 
• Registration in bibliographic and citation databases: submission of metadata to RSCI (eLibrary.ru) and other electronic library systems (ELS).

7. Electronic Services and Distribution 

• Creation of electronic versions (PDF/EPUB): generation of files for online distribution. 
• Uploading to Electronic Library Systems (ELS): placement of the book in systems such as Lan’, Znanium, Yurayt, etc., if the author wishes the book to be used by universities. 
• Marketing and promotion: preparation of abstracts, distribution of informational letters to universities, support for the book when participating in competitions (UMO endorsements are a separate service).
