This section publishes new journal articles that have undergone the full cycle of peer review, editing, approval, and acceptance for publication. Such articles cannot be altered during the publication process or retracted.
The Online First service allows users to access peer-reviewed articles before they appear in the printed version. Unlike a traditional published version, an Online First article lacks fixed page numbers and an assigned journal issue.
Once an article is placed in this section, it is considered published. It may be included in reports on state assignments and grants, cited in subsequent articles, and listed among published works.
