Abstract

This article examines the phenomenon of the Khabarovsk Regional House of Folk Art as a socio-cultural institution, and defines this institution as an institutional form. A comparative analysis of the stages of formation, historical and socio-cultural processes, allows us to identify the factors that led to the formation of a stable social structure aimed at regulating the interaction of participants in amateur art, masters of decorative and applied arts, folk crafts and creativity of the peoples inhabiting the region. In the context of studying the history of the institution, an analysis of interdepartmental relations has been carried out. Schematically presented types of interactions make it possible to determine the place in the structure of regional socio-cultural institutions, as well as to assess the degree of impact on the processes of inculturation of the region in a specific historical period. It has been established that in the early years of its existence, the Khabarovsk Regional House of Folk Art was an institution duplicating the powers of related departments, and its establishment as a socio-cultural institute took place in the 1950s. Subsequently, the House of Folk Art proved to be an institutional form capable of transforming and adapting to historical and cultural conditions, while maintaining and expanding its functionality. The result of the research is the creation of a model of the functioning of the House of Folk Art, which can be applied in the study of similar institutions in other regions. In addition, this material can be used in the practical activities of modern cultural institutions, in order to identify, on the basis of historically established forms, new types of interaction with the population of the region.
