The revenues of ten largest private schools in Russia increased by 16% in 2025 and exceeded 10 billion rubles. This is stated in a study of the counterparty verification and analysis service Rusprofile, which was familiarized with TASS.
"The total revenue of private primary, elementary and general education institutions for 2025 is equal to 10.05 billion rubles. The total net profit of these companies amounted to 1.03 billion rubles. Industry leaders' revenue grew by 16% on average last year," the study reads.
Deputy director of the strategic consulting company "ARB Pro" Roman Koposov noted that in private education, the main contributions are probably made by the increase in the cost of training, rent, food, security, infrastructure and additional services, indexation of teachers' salaries - The market is growing faster in money than in physical demand.
According to the study, some 234,000 children were enrolled in non-public schools in 2024, more than double the 2016 level, and the share of such students rose to 1.3% of total school enrollment. There are now 3,831 active organizations in the sphere.
