The Ministry of Culture of Chelyabinsk region has taken the initiative to hold a festival of cultural capitals in the region in 2027, which is open to all municipalities that have this status. This was announced by the Minister of Culture of Chelyabinsk region Irina Anfalova-Shishkina at a press conference in the Ural TASS.
"We have planned a very interesting festival. Our initiative is the Festival of cultural capitals. This will be a meeting of all cities with status", - said the minister of culture of Chelyabinsk region.
According to her, in particular, during the festival brand creative teams of each city will gather in Chelyabinsk on a single stage. After the first concert, they will travel throughout the territory of the Chelyabinsk region, giving all residents the opportunity to "touch their creativity."
The Minister noted that cultural institutions of Chelyabinsk have the necessary space, technical equipment and human resources to carry out the activities of the project "Cultural Capital of 2027". It was previously reported that on 14 December 2025, Chelyabinsk won the All-Russian competition and received the title of "Cultural Capital of 2027".
