Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of deep cultural and civilizational prerequisites that shape the specifics and trajectory of technological cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China. The relevance of the article is due to the strategic nature of bilateral relations, which is shifting towards joint scientific and technological development, and the need to understand non-monetary factors that ensure the stability of this partnership in the context of geopolitical turbulence. The purpose of the study is to deconstruct the implicit values and worldviews that define the approaches of the parties to issues of sovereignty, innovation and long-term cooperation. The methodological basis of the work consists of comparative analysis, principles of the civilizational approach, content analysis of strategic documents and expert discourses. As a result of the conducted research, key historical and cultural archetypes have been identified that contribute to the convergence of Moscow and Beijing’s positions in the technological sphere and include a common experience of catching up with modernization, the priority of collective welfare and strategic autonomy, as well as similar models of interaction between the state and the scientific community. At the same time, the existing differences in pragmatism and speed of decision-making are analyzed, which can act both as complementary factors and as sources of systemic counteraction. The article’s conclusions indicate that the emerging Russian-Chinese technological partnership is not just a set of joint projects, but an emerging model of an alternative sociotechnical reality based on complementary civilizational codes.
