Abstract
The development of all types of domestic tourism is the main objective of the National Project «Tourism and Hospitality Industry» [1, 11]. Family tourism occupies a special place in the domestic tourism market. More and more often, families choose to travel together for leisure activities. These are usually short trips to neighboring regions, which are carried out on weekends or holidays. During school vacations, trips become longer, and families travel to regions far from home and abroad. Family tours to the Republic of Crimea during the summer season are particularly popular among Russian citizens. The peninsula is rich in seaside resorts, which contribute to the development of beach tourism during the swimming season. Crimea is not only about the sea and the sun, but also offers endless opportunities for family cultural and educational tourism, which can be enjoyed throughout the year. This study presents the objects of cultural and educational tourism in the Big Yalta tourist destination, which is popular during the summer season, and can serve as an addition or alternative to family leisure activities in the Republic of Crimea. The development of family cultural and educational tourism in Big Yalta will contribute to an increase in travel during the autumn and winter seasons, which will have a positive impact on the socio-economic situation of this summer resort.
